I have been putting this off for as long as I could. I just didn’t want anything Corona related on my blog. However, I realized that this is something that we are all facing and I’m in a better space to actually talk about it now. A few weeks ago, I was in a rut and just couldn’t make sense of any of this. Everyday, I caught myself in a “I can’t believe this is real life” game. I sympathize with the people this is affecting the most. The persons with underlying conditions, the elderly, the ones in unfortunate living conditions, the essential workers and the people who were already living paycheck to paycheck and now don’t know where their money is coming from. We are all living in this pandemic and a little compassion and grace, can go a long way.
I have enjoyed watching all the ways that people have been coping and have been reminded how resilient we are. From the cooking & baking videos, crocheting, exercising and course completions. Even the seven million, seven hundred, seven thousand Instagram Lives. I thoroughly am enjoying them and even participated in one. While discussing how I’ve been coping and my past travel & festival experiences, I mentioned that I had to add some things to my #AfterQuarantineTings list. I think it’s important, to still have hope and to have something to look forward to when we are able to enjoy the outdoors again. In the meantime though, I would recommend to practice social distancing as best as you can and ultimately stay home, if possible.
My list is pretty random, but I hope that I can encourage you to make a list of your own. I’m sure there is something that you have been putting off for so long (me talking to myself). It’s so crazy, how life can change so quickly. My list doesn’t include any international travel. I really don’t think we will be able to travel internationally anytime soon, maybe by Fall/Winter the earliest. I recently read a great blog by the Ufuoma on her Predictions on Travel After Corona and she mentioned that she thinks domestic tourism will grow and I totally agree.
Here’s my after quarantine list, in no particular order. I’m not listing any of my beauty related items because my hair has not been re twisted since February, so you get the picture.
