Roadginity: My First Bahamas Carnival

“Oh lawd, the whole place mash up, mash up”, “It’s Savannah Grass”, “Bend ova, practice”. If you recognize any of these lyrics, it’s evident that you know at least a few of the 2019 soca songs or better yet, you’re a soca junkie. I am definitely not there as yet. I’ve always been a Dancehall Queen. However, last year, my friends convinced me to attend SUITS Bahamas and it was honestly the best party I had ever been to. Leading up to the event, I spent that entire week listening to DJ Private Ryan’s Soca Starter 2018; trying to learn as many songs as possible.

My First Cruise Experience: Part One

April 11th, I headed to the airport around 6:30 am to fly into Ft. Lauderdale for a new adventure. The anticipation had been building for two months now and it was finally the day that I would be embarking on Royal Caribbean’s: Independence of the Seas for my first cruise experience. I did not know what to expect, but I was excited and absolutely thrilled to be taking my first trip of the year.  I planned the trip for my mom and, I just hoped for the best. I knew that I would find something on board to do, but I wasn’t sure that she would have a good time. She did though, she really did!

February Festivals in Nassau

My favorite time of the year is upon us! It’s Nassau Festival season again. There are numerous festival periods on the island. Fall Festival season ended last November with Jollification and what a wonderful time that was. Have you read my post on Fall Festivals in Nassau? If you’re wondering what annual festivals occur during the months of October and November, I’d definitely recommend checking that post out. The new year started and February boosts of 3 festivals; namely Tru Tru Bahamian Festival, Seafood Lover’s Popup and Bahamas Junkanoo Arts & Music Festival.
