My Stay in Treasure Cay, Abaco: Part One

It’s officially been a month since I took my first solo trip to Treasure Cay, Abaco. I’ve been to Abaco before, hey, I even lived there for a few weeks last summer. I never made it up North to Treasure Cay though. The “Two Fly Free” Promotion has been going on for a while now and I was longing to take another trip before 2018 ended. So, one random morning (see: around 2am) I was online looking at Treasure Cay’s rates. Would you believe, that with the promotion, I was able to stag my room at $67 a night? I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a steal!

However, I learned some things about myself and the whole “solo travel”  world that may help you book your first solo trip in 2019 or make plans for another one.

When everyone from your mom, your job, your aunt and your best friend’s sister cousin son is having a party and you have invites to all. Special mention goes to all the “Hey, I’m coming home next week” texts and “We gotta hang out before I leave” people that you see at the one event your friends dragged you to. In the Bahamas, we know how to truly enjoy the holidays and while we may not be able to build a snowman, we sure can make sandcastles. The weather is usually in the high 70s in the day and high 60s at night. We are a tropical paradise always. With the holidays coming up, here’s four exciting and seasonal events to attend this December: Continue reading “4 Holiday Events to Attend in Nassau”
