I’m back again with part two and this time we’re diving into my favorite restaurants for dinner in Nassau. If you missed part one, be sure to check it out here for my lunch recommendations.
Here are my favorite restaurants in Nassau for dinner:
Cleo
I visited Cleo for the first time in 2023 on a girls staycation right before I moved to Manchester and what a delicious time that was. However, last year I visited in September for Baha Mar’s restaurant month and again in October to celebrate my birthday. The menu is mediterranean so think lamb, meatballs, grilled meats, various rice dishes, thick sauces like tzatziki and hummus and all the other tasty things that the Greeks make. Just know, that I need to get to Greece immediately if the food at Cleo is any indication of how amazing Greek food is.

Carna
If you believe that you’ve had great steak before and never been to Carna, I have news for you… because you are definitely missing out. Their ribeye is tender, juicy and everything I need and more. Don’t even get me started on the potatoes and that grilled octopus may be the best on the island. Their crab cakes are also heavenly and now I’m hungry and need a Carna date night expeditiously, please and thank you.

Shima
The Island House is my favorite place in Nassau and with a restaurant like Shima, there’s no wonder why. Have you ever been to a restaurant, ordered the most perfect dish and decided it really doesn’t get any better than this? That’s literally how I feel about Shima’s short rib and egg fried rice. I’ve been going there for years and I will order the same thing, every time and every time it blows me away and I can’t believe that the short rib is still so consistently amazing. I’ve also had sushi as an app and even tried the salmon and noodle dishes, but when it comes to me and my house that short rib is always invited.

Social House
I went to Social House for the first time a few years ago, the food was okay, the service was not good and I told myself they don’t ever have to worry about me again. But, in January I got surprised with lunch there and then my friend messaged me for dinner plans there in February to celebrate her birthday. Would you believe the food was so good and I had no service issues, both times?! So, it’s safe to say Social House knows exactly who they are and what they have to offer and the offerings are offering. If you’re visiting anytime soon, get the lobster bites, spicy rock shrimp and seared salmon miso roll. Thank me later!

Did any of my favorite restaurants for dinner make your list? Next, I need to visit Nobu, Dune and Oku Venetian Village. I have a feeling their food is going to be real good.
