Every weekend, we always hear, “Ain’t nothing to do in Nassau.” September 22nd, marks the first day of Fall. While we may not feel any significant changes in the weather; the party scene has slowed down. Day parties have recently concluded and the fetes ended a while ago. Summer’s Over.

It’s September, summer is officially coming to an end and Fall is sneaking right up on us. Unless, of course you don’t live in a tropical paradise that literally has sun almost all of the 365 days of the year. However, school is open now, most people have already taken a few vacations for the year and patiently waiting for the holiday season. Day parties have also concluded, but boy I am super excited for their return next spring/summer.

Where Ya Been: Bimini

“Where you been? Where you going? Man, I want come.” Millennials are traveling more and more these days. In fact, I know a few Bahamians that are very interested in exploring the islands and have been taking advantage of their travel opportunities. Just last week, my friends were all about “catching flights and not feelings”. A few went to Toronto for Caribana, one went to Bimini for a Girl’s Trip, another went to Exuma for Regatta and the next one was Full of Vibe at Cropover in Barbados. With all of this traveling going on around me, I figured it would be interesting to hear about their stories and travels, you know, to add a diverse range of perspectives and the “Where Ya Been” series was born.
