Now that I’m back home and finding balance in work and life, it’s really important to me to keep exploring new hobbies. Over the past few months, I’ve seen social media posts about pottery making, an escape room, cooking classes and bowling. Seeing all of the exciting things to do made me want to explore more. So, if you’re anything like me and want to keep trying new hobbies and fun things to do in Nassau, keep reading. If you haven’t checked out my first list of fun activities to try, you can read it here.
Here are 3 more fun activities to do in Nassau:
Wheel throwing
I’ve been interested in pottery making for years now. But the interest was enhanced while I was in Manchester and one of my friends told me that she was going to classes every week. I thought that was so cool and knew that it was time. I saw an ad for Casa Bah Studio and thought it was perfect and took my mommy along to try it as well. As a nail girlie, I wondered how it would work and even though my nail did slice the top off just a bit, it was all good. The clay felt so strangely interesting in my hands. Texture wise, I thought that it would be weird but I really enjoyed it. Our instructor was quite patient and knowledgeable and I would definitely book another class again.

Sip and Paint
I will always be a sip and paint lover. During the pandemic, I made a conscious effort to practice self care. I got paint supplies and started having painting sessions in my room, wine included of course. I found painting to be so relaxing and really helped me in having some activity planned even while home. I recently visited The Current Art Studio at Baha Mar and participated in their Sip N’ Paint experience. What a fun time! They served red, white and a non alcoholic sparkling wine. The instructor was so helpful and quite comical. I can’t imagine teaching a class where everyone is tipsy or worse. My painting turned out a lot better than I expected, definitely a trust the progress situation.

Art Shows
The art scene in Nassau has been booming for a while now. With a selection of art galleries on the island, there’s almost an exciting art opening each month. If you are interested in learning more about art, already an art lover or want to go for the free wine you should keep on the lookout for the next show. Some of the art galleries to check out are National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Tern, The Current, CAB, D’Aguilar Art Foundation and Sixty 2 Sixty.

So tell me, what activity have you been meaning to try and what should I do next?
